Mary Elizabeth Garrison, 77, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. She was born on October 17, 1948, in Pleasant Hope, Missouri, to Afton and Cora Hill.

Mary married the love of her life, Bill Garrison, with whom she shared many cherished years. Mary’s hands were rarely still, she had a remarkable talent for sewing and poured her love into the many quilts she created over the years. She enjoyed cooking for the people she loved, always attentive to every detail and always making others feel cared for. Creative at heart, she found joy in arts and crafts and never missed a chance to work on something beautiful. And above all, Mary had an undeniable fondness for anything chocolate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Garrison; her sisters, Freda Manning and Bonnie Phillips; and her brother, Leonard Hill.

Mary is survived by her son, Lance Perry; her brothers, Kenneth Hill and his wife Beverly, and Charles Hill; her sister, Sharon Mosier; and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

Mary will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, and the warmth she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.
