Mary Ellen Owens was born April 21, 1940 in Ava, MO and passed away on September 10, 2011 at the age of 71.
Mary was employed with Yellow Cab as a Dispatcher and Taxi Driver.
Her survivors include her three children: Howard Erwin and wife Debbie of Meridian, MS, April Comans and husband Billy of Vicksburg, MS and John Goodsell, Jr., and wife Alesha of Ash Grove, MO; five grandchildren: Zechariah and Benjamin Erwin, Amanda Comans, Cooper Goodsell and Allie Goodsell; siblings, Wilma Olsen and husband Steve of Carter Lake, IA, Carol Lyons and husband Bob of Omaha, NE, Marvin Lawrence and wife Joann of Omaha, NE, David Lawrence of Memphis, TN, Merrille “Jake” Lawrence and wife Connie of Oakland, IA, and Judy Scott and husband Homer Lee of Corsicana, TX; numerous other loving relatives and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Springfield National Cemetery.
In lieu of plants and flowers, donations are requested to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
