Mary Ethel Garrison, age 72, of Springfield, MO, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 in her home. She was born November 22, 1937, in Springfield, MO, to Charles and Nellie Evans. She enjoyed collecting dolls and knick knacks.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Nellie (Stealson) Evans, one daughter Marion Rebecca Billups, two brothers, John Evans and Solomon Evans, two sisters, Rachel Tindle and Jane Dill.
She is survived by children, Jane Erwin, Springfield, Billy Joe Garrison, Springfield, Teresa Sue Ann Yates, Springfield, Johnnie Joe Coffer and wife Sue, Springfield, and Denise Elizabeth Garrison of Seattle Washington, twenty-one grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Monday, October 11, 2010, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Deacon Bill McNamee officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, October 10, 2010 also in the funeral home.
