Mary J. Fowler, age 79, of Aurora, MO. Born August 11, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on January 14, 2012 in Marionville, MO. Mary was employed as a certified nursing assistant and Psych Tech at the Marion Center for St. John’s Regional Hospital in Springfield, Mo., with 27 years of service and retired in 2005.
She was united in marriage to Lowell D. Fowler on February 12, 1953 in Bentonville, AR. She attended Faith Full Gospel Church of Aurora, MO. Mary was a loving, faithful church member for all of her life. She was involved in various church ministries and shared a close relationship with her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Margret Crowley; a sister Emmajean Fowler and brothers-in-law Leo and Leslie Fowler.
She is survived by her husband Lowell D. Fowler;
children and spouses: daughter Carol Mcmurtery and husband Scott McMurtery of Dandridge, TN; daughter Sandy Orr and husband Wayne Orr of Rosalia, KS; daughter Joanne Mayhue and husband Mike Mayhue of Aurora, MO; son David Fowler and wife Delynn Fowler of Douglas, KS; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandchild.
Also survived by sister Helen Mickelson and husband Dick Mickelson of Kansas; brother-in-law Lynn Fowler and wife Rita Fowler of Oregon; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial to follow. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m, Monday, January 16, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
