Mary Jean Faucett from Fair Grove, MO, peacefully passed away in her home Thursday, September 16, 2021. She was born December 11, 1926, to Jared Kingery and Georgia Elizabeth (Green) Woodfill in Republic MO.
Mary worked at Southwestern Bell and Clark Lures after she graduated from Senior High School (Central). She married Floyd Allen Faucett December 26, 1946, who was a POW/WW II veteran. They have 13 wonderful children still living: Floyd W., Cynthia J., Barbara S., Beverly J., Michael A., Donald W., Katherine M., Linda K., Deborah A., Mary F., Patricia, Martha J., and John M. Mother never had a want for anything except visits, happiness, and good health for her 13 children. We come from an impecunious family, times were hard. It wasn’t about riches and wealth just family for Mother and Daddy. They taught us about diligence, integrity, respect, and about freedom. Mother (Mary) and Father (Floyd) were very proud, never complained, never talked bad about anyone, listened, and didn’t accept charity. That was how their children of 13 were raised. As the loss of mother for us as her children and grandchildren will be greater than anyone could imagine, as Mother will be deeply missed just like Dad was. “Live for today, show kindness, because tomorrow may never come.”
Mother (Mary J.) is preceded in death by her husband Floyd Allen Faucett; her 3 siblings, Katherine Ruby V., Jack Carl W., and Jaredine G.; and grandchildren, Brent Allen Faucett and Ronnie Allen Richards.
The visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North Wednesday, September 22, from 6:00-8:00. The service will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Thursday, September 23, 3:00.
The family requests in lieu of flowers please donate to Disabled American Veterans in honor of Mary J. Faucett and Floyd A. Faucett.
