Mary Jean Konkowski, age 83 of Aurora, Mo passed away on April 7, 2026. Loving wife of the late Daniel Konkowski; beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Genevieve Pawlak; devoted mother of Veronica (Garry) Earnest, Theresa (Robert) Critchfield, Ronald (Debbie) Konkowski; one brother, Thomas (Carol) Pawlak; cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren. Mary is also preceded in death by 5 brothers, four sisters, one son, Anthony and one daughter, Therese.
She had a passion for music, touching jazz to country to blues, swing, rock-n-roll and Hawaiian. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She had a strong love for all animals and an extreme sense of patriotism.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Aurora, MO. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday, April 13, 2026 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, MO with burial to follow at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, MO.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. www.swh.org
