Mary Jo Baker, age 91, passed away on June 22, 2019 in Marshfield, MO. She was born in Ponce de Leon on September 6, 1927 to Herbert R. and Lottie (Henry) Russell. She grew up in Hurley and after high school she went to college in Springfield and that’s where she met Sylvester “Jack” Baker. Then they married and had two children, Patty and Butch. In the early years, they loved traveling, going around the country to Bluegrass Festivals then later before moving back to the Springfield area they lived on Gobblers Mountain at Table Rock Lake. At the lake she enjoyed making ceramics and fishing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Robert, her husband Jack and her children, Patty and Butch. She is survived by 4 grandsons, Stephen and his wife, Julie, Joey and Cathy, Stacy and his wife, Sirena and Chris and his wife, Samantha and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
