Mary Kathleen Haley, 79, of Springfield, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009, in Elfindale Manor. She was born August 1, 1930 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She graduated from Inwood High School and attended Briar Cliff College. Mary was united in marriage to Eugene “Pat” Haley on December 27, 1952. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a volunteer at St. John’s for over 25 years. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed golf, reading, travel and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Pat” Haley. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Haley, Barbara and husband David Drenon, David Haley and wife Brenda, Marc Haley, Kate Plank, Sarah and husband Manuel Guzman; nine grandchildren, Megan Ritter, Matt Haley, Emily Carpenter, Tyler Drenon, Kyle Drenon, Michael Plank, Stephanie Plank, Ben Haley and Kori Haley; great-grandchildren, Mary Claire, Ella, Sam and Madelyn. Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 22 in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
