Mary Lee Taylor, age 99, of Bolivar,
MO, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013, at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility. She was
born April 7, 1914, in Aldrich, MO, to Homer
and Tillie (Neil) Taylor. She was
a member of the Aldrich United Methodist Church. She was a traveling sales representative
based out of Philadelphia, PA, for Dorothy Grey, Faberge and Playtex
garments. She was the owner of Finders
Keepers Antique Store in North Hollywood, CA, on Larchmont Blvd. She was well read and an avid reader of
numerous newspapers and magazines. She worked
the daily crossword puzzles, and loved flowers especially those that grew along
the road near her childhood home in Aldrich.
She loved art and to travel.
She was preceded in
death by her parents; a brother Emerson Taylor;
a sister in-law Ruth Taylor; and a nephew Gene Taylor.
She is survived by a brother Keith Taylor of Bolivar, MO; nieces: Cindy
Taylor of Clarksville, TN, Judy Serls, Bolivar, MO; nephews: Jim Taylor of
Highlandville, MO, Bill Taylor of Waynesville, MO, and Bob Taylor of
Springfield, MO; great and great great nieces and nephews; as well as other
relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00
am Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Pitts Chapel with Pastor Duncan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge
Cemetery. Visitation will be held one
hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar,
MO.
