Mary Lou Baber, 92, of Springfield, MO passed away on July 18, 2026 at 8:38 AM at her home. Mary Lou was born on September 22, 1933 in Clever, MO to Willard and Alice (Ghan) Frazier. Mary Lou and Jerry Baber were married in December 1953, and were blessed with three sons; Greg, Mark and Jeff. Mary Lou worked as a medical secretary for 25 years and retired early due to health issues.
Mary Lou’s passion was cooking and she especially enjoyed making deserts and candy. She was an avid reader and loved history and nature books, and mystery novels.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Alice Frazier; Brothers Wayne and J.L. Frazier; Sister Martha Frazier; husband Jerry Baber; and sons Greg and Mark.
She is survived by her son Jeff of Springfield; sister in law Delores Abbott of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Greenlawn South Funeral Home will provide graveside services at Delaware Cemetery on Friday, July 24, 1:00 PM. There will be no visitation service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
