Mary Lou Curbow, age 80, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 11, 1933, in Stone County, MO, to Lawrence and Gladys (Tharp) Logan. She was a member of the Hamlin Baptist Church. Mary was united in marriage to Verrell Curbow on June 16, 1950 in Billings MO. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by parents,Lawrence and Gladys Logan. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty three years,Verrell Curbow; three children, Cheryl Teal and husband Mike of Springfield , Stephen Curbow and wife Tina Elgin of Monson MA, and Ashlee Curbow of Springfield; five grandchildren, Michele Shroyer of Hollister, Gregory Curbow of Warner Robbins GA, Michael Teal of Springfield, Charles Curbow of Leesburg GA, and Stephen Curbow of Macclenny FL; eight great-grandchildren, Ciara, Caryn, Chrisjon, Chase, Shailee, Ross, Ella, and John (J.J.) Jr.; one sister, Ernestine Ludwig and husband Larry of Marionville ; two brothers, Curt Logan and wife Montra of Olathe, KS, and Eldon Logan and wife Sharlene of Moberly, MO; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Rev. Calvin Maberry officiating , with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the funeral home. The casket will be closed at all times. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
