Mary Lynne Haley of Springfield, passed away on November 8, 2023.
She was born on March 24, 1947, in Batesville, Arkansas.
Mary resided in Springfield for some 65 + years. She lived most of her life in numerous group resident homes with The ARC of the Ozarks and was an active participant in their various activities. She enjoyed the Special Olympics, her work at the Shelter Workshop and was always happy to make and enjoy new friends and experiences. Mary was known for her wonderful, quirky, off-beat sense of humor and wit. She was an extremely brave and inquisitive person and was always ready “to go” and “to do”. She loved car rides, and what any female loves…. shopping and best of all, her favorite drink, a diet Dr. Pepper! She lived life to the fullest!
She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence (C.R.) and Ruth Haley. She is survived by her twin sister, Alice and husband, Mike Terry, of Bethel, Connecticut. Her nephews, Matthew and wife, Shelley, and great-nephews, Jake and Ryan Terry of Ridgefield, Connecticut; and Christopher and wife, Kim, and great-nephew, Cy Terry of Weehawken, New Jersey.
A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
