Mary Margaret Cummins, 79, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 31, 2012. She was born in Purdy, MO, on November 15, 1932, to Virgil and Betty (Haney) Heard. Mary married Romaine H. Cummins in Baxter County, AR, on March 10, 1948, and to this union two sons were born: Roger and Ron. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her Lord Jesus, her church, her family and everyone she met. She read the Bible completely through over 40 times and loved to talk about the Scriptures and Jesus. She enjoyed nothing more than to have her family and friends with her as often as possible.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Romaine; sons: Roger Cummins and his wife Sharon, Ron Cummins and his wife Judy; five grandchildren: Chris Cummins, Bryan Cummins and his wife Alina, David Cummins, Karen Cummins, and Lori Smith; three great-grandchildren: Roger Romaine Cummins, Joshua Smith, and Rhiannon Smith; brothers: Jess Heard and his wife Wanda, Jerry Heard and his wife Linda; sisters: Betty Jane Swearengin, June Bennett and her husband Marion, Twylah Willard and her husband Daryl; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and many beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
