Mary Ruth Morgan Collins, age 75, of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009,in her home. She was born September 27, 1934, in Springfield, MO, to Bruce and Vesta (Hankins) Chandler. She was a member of Brown Ave. Baptist Church.
Her father Bruce Chandler, mother Vesta Giboney, husband Creighton Collins, sister Wanda Pike , brother Robert Chandler, and grandson Brian Huffman preceded her in death.
She is survived by her six children James Morgan and wife Ida of Ash Grove, David Morgan of Lake Ozark, John Morgan and wife Donna of Morgan, Janet Huffman of Springfield, Jason Morgan and wife Teressie of Fair Grove, Justin Morgan of Lake Ozark, 17 grandchildren , 7 great grandchildren and 8 step grandchildren, sister Shirley Hambek and husband John of Fort Worth TX.,brother Richard Colvert and wife Carla of Clinton, brother Troy Colvert of Memphis TN, childhood friend Roberta Slade of Joplin, close friend and companion William Weaver of Springfield, one stepdaughter Stephanie Brunson of Dallas TX. and a host of family and friends..
Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Rev. Jerry Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 26, 2009, 3-4 p.m in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Hospice.
