MATTHEW ROBERT FORBIS, 44, of Springfield, Missouri, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, after a sudden illness. He was born on March 14, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri. Matt was a member of Second Baptist Church and employed 10 years at Sanofi Pharmaceuticals.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy, and their children, Natalie and Isaac; parents, Bob and Beverly Forbis, Eureka, MO; sister, Valerie Maturey, Springfield, and grandmother, Ruby Forbis, Overland Park, KS.
The memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Monday, October 29 at Second Baptist Church, Springfield, under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be at Second Baptist from 2:30 to 4:00 pm and following the service until 6:30 pm. Family wishes in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the Forbis Children Education Fund.
