Mrs. Maureen Ann Mallon Boatright, of Battlefield, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at the age of 62. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph H. and Katherine A. Mallon. Maureen was united in marriage to Michael R. Boatright on September 30, 1977 and they were blessed with two children, Ryan Joseph and Meghan Kay of Springfield, Missouri.
Maureen participated in all of her children’s activities throughout her life. She attended Kansas State University for two years before completing her dental hygiene degree from Johnson County Community College. She enjoyed working as a dental hygienist for 30 years in Springfield, Missouri. Maureen was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, in the Xi Alpha Gamma chapter for 30 plus years, serving numerous offices, including her chapter as well as the city council chapter.
Maureen also enjoyed traveling and spending time at the lake house. She had many interests, including reading, crafts, gardening and cooking.
Maureen is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her loving husband, Michael R. Boatright. Her son Ryan and his wife Sarah and their daughter, Ivy June. Her daughter Meghan Kay with Matt Prewitt and future granddaughter, Opaline Ann. Also survived by her sister, Rita Johndrow and husband of Buford, Georgia, her sister-in-law Sandy Fielder and husband of Nixa, Missouri. Maureen had numerous adoring nieces and nephews whom she held near and dear to her heart.
Memorial services for Maureen will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. A memorial visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 29, 2015 in the funeral home. On line condolences may be mad at greenlawnfuneralhome.com
