Max Howard Miller was born December 5, 1965, in Dallas, Texas to Ethel Elizabeth (Grisham) Miller and Kenneth Dwayne Wickett, and passed away March 25, 2024, surrounded by love in Springfield, Missouri.
Max had a Master’s Degree in Education from Missouri State University, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, with a Minor in Bible Theology from Evangel University. Max was a man with many areas of expertise, including teaching, communications, training, youth pastor, video editor, Living Free facilitator, and most recently a warranty advisor with Executive Coach Builders, in Springfield, Missouri.
Max loved the outdoors with plenty of motorcycle rides, camping trips, and many evenings by the fire, but NOT mowing the lawn. Max enjoyed reading, writing, being an author, and was an avid educator. He and Sara invested in sharing the gospel locally and on mission trips to Mexico. He loved all genres of music, movie time and fireworks displays – both as a spectator and as a Pyro Technician. However, nothing compares to the joy he had in being a husband – he was over the top in love with his devoted wife, Sara. He and his lovely wife, Sara (Barton) Miller, were married on July 10, 1993. They became foster parents to both children and several fur babies.
Max joins his birth father, Kenneth Dwayne Wickett; Father-in-law, John William Barton; Mother-in-law, Florence Elizabeth Barton; and Grandson, Jadier Alexander Romero in Heaven, along with his four-legged friends, Simon, Ringo, and Boomer.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Sara Barton Miller; Adoptive Father, Howard Norman Miller; Mother, Ethel Elizabeth Miller; Sister, Veronica Lee Wickett; Brother, Howard Robert Miller (Kamei); Daughter, Johna Michelle Romero; Son-in-law, Javier Romero; Grandson, Juan Javier Romero; Granddaughter, Jossalynn Michelle Romero; Granddaughter, JayLenn Leah Romero; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, very special friends who are family and his four-legged friends, Simba and Tuxedo.

Max will take his final motorcycle ride with a private ceremony at a later date. He will be missed by all, but will live forever in our hearts and memories.
