Maxine A. Carbin passed away on May 27, 2010, at Christian Healthcare of Hermitage, after a long illness. She was born Maxine Alice Danielson in Burlington Iowa, along with a twin brother to Bertha (Foggy) and Walter Herman Danielson on February 19, 1924. She grew up during The Great Depression and saw the beginning & the end of World War II, The Korean War, and Vietnam. She married Thomas T, Carbin February 6, 1954 and to this union four children were born.
Her parents, her husband Thomas Carbin; seven brothers and two sisters precede her in death.
Maxine is survived by one son Lance Gluesing and family Albuquerque, NM . Five daughters Lucia Gluesing, Greenwood, MO, Nancy Lusk and family Urbana, MO, Catherine Emard and family Nowata, OK, Rosemary Tracht and family, Tucson, AZ, Christine Malley, Urbana, MO; a brother Rip Danielson Cherekee Village, AR; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at Pitts Chapel Bolivar Sunday, May 30, 2010. Burial will follow at Bowers Chapel Cemetery, Urbana, MO. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Friends and family may sign a guest book or send private condolences at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
