Merill L. Christy, age 86 , of Reeds Spring  passed away Saturday, January 2nd, 2021  at Mercy Hospital .

Merill was born December 16, 1934 in Truesdale, Iowa to  Howard and Gladys Christy. He was a graduate of Storm Lake High School, and attended Central Bible Institute. He was united to Ruth Keller on November 27, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio. Merill worked as Sales Manager at Doehler-Jarvis in Toledo, Ohio, until his retirement. Merill and Ruth are members of Evangel Temple.  His passion was his garden.

Survivors include, his loving wife, Ruth; four children, Barry Christy and wife Shelly, Bonnie Christy Garrison and husband Ken, Cheryl Christy Thompson and husband Jerry, Laranda Strugalski and husband Larry; 13 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren, with one on the way; one sister Carole Christy Martin and husband Earl; and a host of family and friends.

Merill was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Gladys Christy; and one brother, Donald Christy and his wife Donna.

The family will receive friends from 11 am -12 pm, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Greenlawn South Funeral Home. A celebration of Merill’s life will be held Thursday, January 7th, 2021 at 12:00pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South 441 West Battlefield Springfield, Missouri 65807, with burial at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio. In memory of Merill, memorial contributions may be made to Royal Family Kids, in care of Evangel Temple.
