Ocki and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all in these heavy days as you grieve Mi Ann's loss. She was such a faithful, vibrant, patriotic woman and always so very proud of each and every one of you. I first met Mi Ann when I wandered into Honey Comb and asked if she had time to cut my hair. That began a 20+ year relationship that expanded to her also doing my mom's hair and a friendship. She was a gem. I marveled at her stories about growing up in Korea and her early days in the U.S. She had seen hard days but somehow focused on the positive. I have tried to take that as a life lesson. My mother passed away several years ago or you would also be hearing from her. In this difficult time, I am holding you close in my thoughts. Sincerely, Nancy Hughson

I have very fond memories of MiAnn, going back many years. We met at Bally's Fitness Center in Crestwood, MO, and became friends. She was kind, generous and fun to be with. She loved her family, her friends and her clients. May her memory be a blessing.

I have many great memories of going to church with your mom and Jerry, the many times going to their house and the great food and fellowship. I know my parents were close to them and we all are so sorry for your loss. You are our family and we love you!

I’m not sure when or how I found Mi Ann as a young adult, around 20 I believe, but once I did there was never going anywhere else. I got my parents and brother going to her shortly after I started. Never regretted it. When I got married there was only one person I wanted to do my hair, Mi Ann. Well of course I had to invite her to my wedding and she went. That’s just like Mi Ann. Her clients were her family. That was 35 years ago. I know she was a Christian and knew that God had a lace at his table just fine for her. Thank you Mi Ann for all you did

Mi Ann did my Mother’s hair for many years before I met her. At the time she was on Handlin Court. I live out of state so when visiting my Mother I would drive her to her weekly hair appointment with Mi Ann. I went in to meet her in person since my Mother absolutely loved Mi Ann and spoke of her so often. After meeting her I wouldn’t just drop her off but many times stay to visit with Mi Ann too. She knew all about me and Mother’s other eight children. She was such a delightful person who truly loved and cared for her clients - her friends. I’m sure she’ll be up in heaven reacquainting with all her many friends. Jesus will greet her saying “Well done - good and faithful servant “. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your beloved.

I will forever hold the memories of Mi Ann’s kindness towards my mother who was a client of hers for many years. Mi Ann was so caring and accommodating; always doing special things for mom. She would bake treats and give little gifts. My mother would bring Mi Ann gifts as well; she truly cared for her as a friend. My condolences to all of the family; she’ll be missed by many. With sympathy, Kathy Quick

MiAnn was very special to me. I am sorry for your loss. I met her at Honey Comb and continued to be one of the clients that came into her home until she retired. I reconnected with her again when she moved back to Kirkwood. She was a dear friend to me...more than just my hairdresser. I loved being part of her life and listening to her talk about Jesus. How interesting that she passed on Resurrection Sunday. There was definitely a party going on when she arrived! I know that she loved her family so much and that she left a wonderful legacy behind in all of you. May God comfort you as you walk through this difficult time.

I first met Mi Ann (30+ years ago) when she had the hair salon in Kirkwood. Then I transitioned to her shop in her home. As the years passed, she ended up cutting my mom’s hair and my hair … at no charge. By that time we had become “good friends” rather than “clients”. We would go out to eat, attend the MUNY (the famous St. Louis summer theatre), etc. When Mom had a stroke and was confined to our home, Mi Ann came to our house to do Mom’s haircuts (along with mine). We were so thankful for her going the extra mile for Mom. Mi Ann was a beautiful person and soul! Such a blessing she was! Thank you, Lord, for Mi Ann.
