Michael Duane Drews, age 66, passed away on March 21, 2026, at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, following a short illness. Michael Duane Drews, age 66, passed away on March 21, 2026, at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, following a short illness.
Michael was born on April 28, 1959, to Carl Duane and Leona “Lola” Jean Drews (Duriau). He married Tina Lancaster on May 25, 1994, in Bolivar.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Sharon Souza.
He is survived by his son, Michael Thomas (wife Jessica), and their daughter, Maren, of Moberly; his brother, Richard Souza, and nephew, Josh of Independence; and his brother and sister-in-law, David and Jan Drews of Shell Knob.
Mike loved spending time in Shell Knob, where his family often gathered during his childhood. In his younger years, he was a talented and artistic cabinet maker, known for his craftsmanship and creativity.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Northwood Hills Care Center for their compassionate care. A special thank you is given to transportation coordinator, Jenny Skinner.
