Michael E. Redman, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at 5:54 pm after battling heart disease.
Michael was born May 25, 1959, in Watseka, Illinois to Gene and Vi Redman. He was united in marriage to Valli Rene Redman on December 31, 1988.
Michael had a plethora of accomplishments during his time with us. He was an alumni at Missouri State University and spent the majority of his professional career in the computer field. Michael even founded Springfield’s first internet service, Chatmaster BBS. Michael was also a proud member of the Gate of the Temple no.422 and the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine where he served as a greeter. Following the shiners tradition of helping others, many of Michael’s organs were donated to Mid-American Transplant.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents on his mothers side, Lillian and William Feller, as well as his grandparents on his father side, Guy “Jack” and Hazel Redman.
Michael was survived by his wife Valli; children Tana, Cassandra, and Michael Redman II of Springfield; His parents Gene and Vi Redman; His brother Steven D. Redman and his children; Jennifer, Geno, and Tyler Redman and many other beloved extended family members.
Michael also left behind his cherished family at Grumpy’s Lounge where his Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 22, starting at 2pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
