SSG. Michael Lee Long 30, Springfield, Mo. passed away on January 30, 2017, in his home. He was born on February 6, 1986, in Bolivar, Mo. A retired Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army, he enjoyed collecting guns and spending time with his kids and family.
Michael is survived by his wife, Kelsie, three children; Brinden, Cierra, and Taelor Long, and their mother, Rachelle Hayes, all of Marshfield, Mo. his mother; Michele Barnes, his father; John Barnes, both of Springfield, Mo. two brothers; Joseph Barnes and Adam Long, both of Springfield, Mo. his grandmother; Rachel Neal, Springfield, Mo. and his aunt, Kimberly Robinson, Springfield, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2017, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, February 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home
