Michele Heloise Peacher, 72 of Highlandville passed away on March 31, 2015. She was born October 8, 1942, in St. Louis, MO to Lucien and Julia Gallais. She was a graduate of Drury University in 1964 and a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She went on to teach at Parkview, Hazelwood West, McCluer North, and Sparta High School where she retired after 31 years. She taught high school English and gifted. She was extremely loved, respected and well-liked by so many of her students. Many have come to her after graduation for help on their English papers in College or just any needs they had in College in general. She enjoyed spending time being a part of the Drury Women’s Auxiliary and traveling. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed and will always be remembered for all the good memories we have of her.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Jack Peacher, two children son Jeff Peacher and wife Lisa, daughter Mandy Edwards and husband Nathan; three grandchildren; sister Suzanne Skelly and husband Phil; and host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 3, 2015, from 6-8pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield. Funeral services will be on Saturday April 4, 2015 at 1pm in the funeral home with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
