Mickie Ethelyn Brown, 61
Mickie Brown passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at St John’s Hospital in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 61. She was born to the late Rachel Woods and Louis Savage in Fort Scott, Kansas on August 31, 1949.
Survivors include her loving children Becky Brown of Delaware, Shawn Brown of Kansas City, Missouri and Alisha Pittman of Springfield, Missouri; 9 grandchildren; four siblings Joyce Woods of Fort Scott, Jackie Vann of Katy, Texas, Donald Woods of Fort Scott and Melvin Woods of Overland Park, Kansas; 13 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 1722 North National Avenue, Springfield, Missouri at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011. Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri.
