Mildred Marie Comstock, age 95, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at Woodland Manor . She was born April 3, 1915, in Greene County, MO, to Augustus and Ethel (Clutter) Race. She enjoyed sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents Augustus P. and Ethel Jane Race, husband Fred Comstock, granddaughter Melinda Comstock, two brothers William Race and Robert Race, two sisters Betty Sovereign and Katherine Race , daughter Beverly Edmisson.
She is survived by a son Richard Comstock of Springfield, grandchildren Bryon Edmisson, Springfield, Marianne Wark of Springfield, Cathy Johnson of Springfield, Rick Comstock of Springfield, Marlaina McCan of Nevada, sister Mary Burney of Springfield, brother John Race of Springfield. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
