Mildred W. Givens, age 84, passed away on October 14, 2013 in Springfield, MO. She was born in Douglas County, MO on April 7, 1929. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband John, daughter Joyce Barlow, and son Randy Givens. She is survived by Ronnie Givens of Cape Fair, and Margie Hamlett of Springfield and Rick and Roberta Givens of Springfield, and Vicky Givens. She is also survived by four sisters, Fredia Barnett and Darlene Bird of Springfield; Wilma Johns of Sparta, MO and Carol Webb of Sioux City, IA. She is also survived by a brother, Freeman Swearengin of Sparta, MO. Mildred has nine grandkids, 18 great-grandkids, and 10 great-great grandkids. She also has numerous cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 10:00 am, in Springfield National Cemetery.
