Milton Edward Hamilton passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013. Milton was born April 2, 1923 in Williamsville, Missouri, the first child of Milton Hamilton Sr. and Lillian Marler Hamilton. Milton was preceded in death by his wife Glenda, parents, one sister and one brother.
Milton enlisted in the Navy in 1941 and later discharged for medical reasons.
Milton was a member of Grace United Methodist in St. Louis, Missouri for 25 years. In 1990 he moved to Springfield, Missouri and became a member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church. Milton worked for MO. Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad for forty-one years as a telegrapher, cashier, station agent and the last twenty-five years as a traffic controller. Milton lived an amazing, diligent, grateful, and faithful life. He and Glenda were a gift to their communities, churches, family and friends.
Visitation for Milton will be from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. Sunday, April 28, 2013 in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday. Burial will be the following day, in Montgomery Cemetery, Wayne County Missouri.
