Mrs. Mary Tindall, age 73, of Republic, Missouri, passed away on July 12, 2026, at home. Mary was born to Weldon Simmons and Margaret Simmons on March 2, 1953 in San Bernardino, CA. She was raised in San Bernardino, CA and graduated from St. Bernardine High School in 1971. Mary was united in marriage to Larry Tindall on November 22, 1997. Mary and Larry shared 28 years of marriage before Mary’s untimely passing on July 12, 2026. Mary was previously married to Frank Pumphrey III and of this union, two children were born, Frank IV, and Robyn.

Mary was employed as an insurance claims analyst with The Jacobson Group for several years. When not working, she had many interests and pastimes including reading, planting flowers, napping, and her dogs. Online shopping seemed to be a favorite activity of hers, based on the number of packages that have been arriving at the house recently. A true “California girl”, Mary loved the beach and water, sun, and hot weather. Many summer days were spent in her backyard pool with family, friends and her beloved dogs. Mary was a wonderful mother, wife, and GG to her grandkids. She chose the name GG because she was “not going to be an old grandma”, she was going to be the “groovy granny”. She is so loved and will be missed by all. Mary would be best described as feisty, spunky, full of life, kind, empathetic, and just an all around wonderful person.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Weldon Simmons; mother, Margaret Simmons; mother-in-law, Betty Tindall; father-in-law, Gregg Tindall. She is survived by her spouse Larry Tindall; daughter Robyn Lee; son-in-law Tony Lee; son Frank Pumphrey; daughter-in-law Martha Thompson-Pumphrey; granddaughter Marlee Pumphrey; granddaughter Kyndal Carter; granddaughter Emersyn Carter; step-granddaughter Addy Lee; sister Betty Lucken (John); sister Eileen Valenti; brother Bob Simmons (Jan) along with a host of extended family and friends.

Mary chose to donate her body to science at the University of Missouri. A selfless gift that will contribute meaningfully to essential advances of medical science. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. She did not want sadness upon her passing, she wanted a party and for everyone to celebrate the life she lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Mary’s memory to Rescue One, C.A.R.E., or Republic Animal Control.
