Musetta Belle (Mickey) Prince, was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 26, 1926, the daughter of Goldie and John Riney. She entered heaven’s gates on May 23, 2021 at the age of 94.
She was united in marriage to Owen A. Prince on May 5, 1945 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Owen preceded her in death May 16, 2013. They were married for 68 blessed years and had five children.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marlena Karen Schmidt, one brother, William Riney and two son-in-laws, Doug Easler and Jim Cunningham.
Musetta is survived by her son Owen Prince and wife, Charolette; daughter Stephanie Turner and husband Jeff; daughter Diane Easler; and daughter Sharon Cunningham Berkaw and husband George; one brother, Lowell Roth and wife Janet. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, forty one great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends. She will be sorely missed by Princess, her ever present rescue canine companion.
Musetta was a consummate mother and homemaker. She was an excellent cook and loved having her family together. She had an unwavering love and faith in Jesus. She leaves a legacy of love, enormous generosity, and kindness with those that were fortunate enough to have known her. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Willard, Missouri for many years. Prior, she was a member of Reedville Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri.
Musetta loved music of all kinds and was known for her beautiful voice. She could recall the words to songs most of us had not heard of. Her love of music and talents were passed on to her children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held. The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 East Seminole, Springfield, Missouri.
