Nancy Gracene Perryman, 62, of Springfield, passed away November 23, 2011. She was born October 14, 1949 in Springfield, Missouri to Glenn Ralph and Claribel (Dale) Lemons. Nancy was united in marriage to Richard L. Perryman on July 22, 1967.
Nancy retired in 2010 from the Springfield Public School System where she worked for 30 years. She loved her position as “Lunch Lady”, and enjoyed preparing and serving lunches for the children of Springfield.
Nancy was a long-time member of Galloway Baptist Church where she was actively involved in several different activities. There, she met many people who would become close friends. The support of her church family has been a source of strength through the difficult times in Nancy’s life, as they are now for those mourning her death.
Nancy enjoyed traveling and camping in her motor home, boating, sewing, crocheting, spending time with her family and friends, and cooking. No one could make a better cinnamon roll. Nancy was a loving wife, a caring and supportive mother, and the most excellent grandmother. She was a loyal friend and loved her neighbors. She would have given anything to anyone she could help, and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard; a son, Scott Perryman and his wife, Shannon (of Springfield); a son, David Perryman and his wife, Camie (of Springfield); a daughter, Diane Rabalais and her husband, Tim (of Raleigh, N.C.); and grandchildren, Riley, Nick, and Jack Perryman, Garrett and Jenna Perryman, and Rebekah and Sarah Rabalais.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Greenlawn East, 3540 E. Seminole in Springfield, on Monday, November 28, 2011, with a memorial service following at 6:00 P.M.
