Nancy Kay Chrisman
Nancy Kay Chrisman, 55, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Nancy was born on June 27, 1955, in Springfield, the fifth of six children born to Charles Ward and Marjorie Delphine (Henry) Chrisman. Nancy was a graduate of Parkview High School. She moved to San Diego, California, in the early 1970’s, where two of her sisters lived. She worked there in the aerospace industry for several years. Nancy lived near the beach and enjoyed many outdoor activities, including swimming, riding her bike, and jogging. She was very creative and made many beautiful handcrafted items which she gave to friends and relatives over the years. Nancy loved animals, especially cats. She returned to Springfield in 1999. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lenna (Chrisman) Miller, and Angela Rene Chrisman; and sister-in-law, Debbie Chrisman. Nancy is survived by her step-mother, June Chrisman, Springfield; a brother, Dan M. Chrisman, Strafford; and two sisters, Janice C. Chrisman, Clearwater, Florida, and Rose Ann (Chrisman) Nash, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; a brother-in-law, R. Galen Miller, Ponca City, Oklahoma; three uncles, Robert Chrisman and family, San Antonio, Texas, Preston Henry and family, Springfield, Denny Henry and wife Anita and family, Springfield; and two other aunts, Jo (Mrs. Richard N.) Chrisman and family, Springfield, and Joyce (Henry) Patton and family, Ballwin, Missouri; and many cousins, nephews and nieces. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Greenlawn North Funeral Home with graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
