Nancy Lou Rogers, age 75, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in Springfield. She was born on February 6, 1939, in Springfield, MO, to H. E. and Earlea (Nichols) Adams.
Nancy was a very active member of the National Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, yoga and quilting. She was a member of the Red Hatters and an avid movie enthusiast with her friend Lana and had monthly luncheon with her Christian Ladies Group. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Nancy thoroughly enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Charles Richard Rogers. Surviving is her sister Pat Norfleet; sons: Randy Detherage and wife Greta, Chris Rogers and wife Terri, and daughter Julie Cox and husband James; grandchildren: Brittany Groves and husband Josh and their son Parker, Chad Rogers, Lindsey and Ashlyn Sneed, Chad Cox, nephew Bill Simmons and great-nephew Cory Simmons and his daughters: Chelsea and Callea Simmons. A special thanks goes to Mom’s God-Daughter Tatum Wiggins for all her tender love and care.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 15, 2014, at National Heights Baptist Church, Springfield, MO with Dr. Vaughn Weatherford officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
