Naomi L. Caron
Naomi L. Caron, 61, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010. She was born on April 22, 1949 in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of Alonzo and Ramoth Tallant. Naomi was a life-long resident of Springfield, Mo. Over the years, in addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, she also helped run the family business, Butch’s Billiards, with her husband. In later years after retirement, Naomi enjoyed playing bingo with friends, attending Springfield Cardinals baseball games, and her occasional trips to the casinos. Naomi had a wonderful sense of humor and was very young at heart. She was loved immensely and will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Hospice Compassus for their exceptional help and care of Naomi, especially Nurse Amber. Their kindness and compassion is so greatly appreciated. Survivors include her children, Terry Caron Plank, Sherry Stone and husband Isreal, and Marsha Burnett and husband Jerry; and her two grandchildren, Tanner Burnett and Aidan Plank. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, William “Butch” Caron and son, William “Bud” Caron. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, in Greenlawn North Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Compassus at 1465 E.
