Natalie Norene Burke Allen, 93, was born April 18, 1917, and went to be with the Lord on Monday,
February 28, 2011, in her home in Fair Grove, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Allen; one daughter, Shirley; a son-in-law, Thurman Sorrell; her parents, Waldo and Anna Burke; two sisters, Elzonia Burke and Dorothy Gregory; and one brother, Waldorf Burke.
She is survived by two sons and spouses: W.D. and Maria Allen of Springfield, Terry and Nancy Allen of Fair Grove. Also surviving are her three daughters: Carol Sorrell of Myrtle, Mo., Jan and Ed Johnston of Neosho, Mo., and Jeanie and Toney Samons of Fair Grove. She had 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home, East, on Saturday, March 5 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the Greenlawn East Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Michael Smith and Bro. Paul Sorrell will be officiating. Interment will be on Monday, March 7, at 12:00 p.m. in The Church of God Cemetery, Myrtle, Mo.
