Neal Wallace Ray Sr., age 86, of Springfield, Mo. passed away surrounded
by his family on Saturday, May 4th, 2013.
Neal was born July 27th, 1927 in Louisville, Mississippi
Neal was a veteran of WWII, attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church,
retired from Springfield Laundry Co., and liked to play pool at
the Ray Kelly Senior Center
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Kathryn (Johnson) Ray and
daughter Sharon Sloan.
Neal is survived by his children:
Sandra Newton (AR.), Neal Ray Jr. (AR.), Patti Dumas (OK.)
Marcia Hoffman (Spfld.), Carla Loveland (Spfld.), Kent Ray (Spfld.)
and Patrica Neal from a previous marriage.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and
1 great-great grandchild
Viewing will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home South
Thursday, May 9th, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be held Friday May 10th, 2013 at
Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.
