Nellene Triplett Dunn, 90, of Springfield, MO. passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
She is survived by her husband Charles L. Dunn Sr. Nellene was born in Essex, MO on May 10th, 1922. She graduated from Sikeston School of Beauty Culture in 1939. She married her best friend Charles on June22, 1941. When Charles returned home from WWII they started their family in Charleston, MO. Nellene is survived by their 4 children; Charles L. Dunn Jr. and wife, Mary Jane; Susan Fink and husband, Roger; Sally Matthews; Sarah Cowen and husband Jerry, all of the area. She was also blessed with 6 grandchildren, Jeff, Julie, Lacey, Drew, Ben and Sam; as well as 7 great grandchildren. Nellene is also survived by 2 sisters; Ada Schell of MI, Phyllis Snyder of MO, and 1 brother, Dennis Triplett of IN. Nellene will always be remembered as a loving Wife, Mom and “Gram.” She always cherished the family moments. Nellene was an excellent cook, seamstress, enjoyed her flowerbeds and painting. We will always love you” bunches and bunches!!”
Nellene was a member at Campbell United Methodist Church.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29. 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Burial will follow at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
