NINA LUCILLE BARCLAY BEATIE
Nina Lucille Beatie died November 16, 2011 in Springfield, Missouri. Born to Erna Linville and Audrey Lula Barclay on September 26, 1919, she was the eldest of nine children. Nina married Robert W. (Bob) Beatie, also of Springfield. She attended Springfield High School (now Central High).
During WW II she resided in California and Washington State, where she worked for the U.S. Government while Bob served in the U. S. Army. Returning to Missouri she went to work for Dun and Bradstreet, Inc. in Kansas City, where she worked for 32 years. After retirement, Bob and Nina moved to Pittsburg, Missouri, and later returned to Springfield. They were members of National Heights Baptist Church.
Nina was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three brothers, Alan (Opal), Paul (Liana) and Wayne (Lorene) Barclay.
Surviving are her daughter Sandra Lamb (David), grandchildren, Jeffrey Lamb (Angela) and Amy Seely (Paul), four great-grandchildren, Christopher (Chelsie), Jenifer, Spencer and Zachary Lamb, as well as one great-great granddaughter, Rylee Lamb, all of the greater Salt Lake City area. Her surviving siblings are brothers Harold (Emogene) and Glenn (Carol), of Springfield, Olan (Carol) of Overland Park, Kansas, and two sisters, Martha Fasnacht (Wayne) of Glenwood Iowa, and Shirley Rust (Ray) of Marshfield, Missouri. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Harry Carroll (Karen), and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are planned for Saturday November 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 N. National, with viewing an hour before the service.
