Norma Ann Tucker, age 63, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 21, 2013.
Norma was born and raised in Springfield. She worked as a nurse and a caregiver at Cox South Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Norma was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Sneed; her mother, Frances Sneed; two sisters, Carol Messick and Jean Call; three brothers, Tommy Sneed, Jack Sneed, and Gary Sneed. She is survived by her lifelong companion, Donnie Bailey; her two children, Juan Alexander and Damron Sneed; seven grandchildren, Octavian, Marrica, Kaylyb, Quintone, Rostan, Nyle, Natasha; great-grandson, Mirahjay Blackwell; and two sisters, Kathy Agee of Cedarcreek, MO, and Libby Arnold of Springfield, MO.
Norma offered an unconditional love and compassion for all her many friends and family. She was an avid Bingo player which she didn’t consider to be a recreational sport. Norma loved to play cards and board games with friends and family as we all laughed until we cried. She also loved to go cat-fishing and bowling. Let’s not forget her plants…which she had so many of. She was one of a kind and nobody could ever replace her. Norma’s whit, humor, compassion and hard head will live in all of us.
Norma, we all love you so much and will always miss you!
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013, in Smith Family Cemetery, 7399 East Farm Road 138, Springfield, with the Rev. Kenneth Day officiating.
