Norma Jean Wood passed away peacefully at her home on December 9, 2023.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Wood, and her son, William F. Wood. She is is survived by her daughter (Monta J. Montgomery), six granddaughters (Kristi Van Lieu, Mariah Montgomery, Karyn Mitchell, Meagan Montgomery, Alaina Fox, and Marla Barnett), nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with a burial held at the Springfield National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Jean requested donations be made to either Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
