Norma L. Owens, 90, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed from this life Monday, January 26, 2026. She was born June 13, 1935, in Exeter, California, to Nathan and Opal Wilson.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Bud Owens, and her brother, Oleah and two sisters, Barbara and Linda.
She leaves behind her two devoted daughters, Cherryl Pyle and her husband Toby, and Sandie Cross and her husband Mark.
Norma was a proud grandma to seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren who lovingly knew her as GiGi.
Norma’s life was rooted in family, love and quiet strength. She found her greatest joy in being with and helping her family whenever she could, she was always there for them. The memories she created with family and friends will always be cherished. She was an amazing cook and was always happiest when feeding the people she loved. She was always up for a good time, had a great sense of humor and was known for joking and pulling off playful pranks. Laughter followed her wherever she went. Above all else, Norma loved her family deeply and her life was centered around them.
She loved Jesus and lived her life with a quiet but strong faith. She didn’t need many words to show it – her faith was reflected in the way she loved, served, and cared for others.
Her warmth, humor, and loving spirit will be deeply missed, but cherished memories will live on through the many stories, laughs, and traditions she leaves behind.
