Norma Merrill, age 66, of Springfield, MO, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 in her home.She was born September 6, 1947, in Springfield, MO, to Glen and Isabell (Cantrell) Ramsey. Norma was a very loving person; she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing to country music and a good evening with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Isabell Ramsey; one daughter Gloria Dickerson; two sons, Curtis Dickerson and Robert Waggoner; two sisters, Carol Hester and Glenda Thornbrough; and two brothers Dale Ramsey and Robert Ramsey. She is survived by her husband of twenty- nine years Robert Henry Merrill, Springfield;two sons; Ronnie Smart of Springfield and Ray Dickerson of Springfield; one daughter, Lisa Garrison of Springfield; one son- in- law, David Lee Harris of Springfield; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren; one sister, Rosemary Ward of Springfield; one brother, Wilbur Ramsey of Springfield; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2013, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
