Norman Edwin (Ed) Williams, 84, passed away peacefully February 27, 2015. He was born in Springfield on September 7, 1930 to Homer and Jewel Williams. He was married to Norma Jean Campbell for over 50 years. Ed served his country in the US Marines during the Korean War. He retired from CU after 42 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Ed is survived by two sons; Terry Williams and Steve Williams (Linda), three grandsons; Joshua, Jesse and James, three sisters; Mary Marlin (Lowell), Freda Koch, and Vonnie Rickman, one brother; Clyde Williams (Helen). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Animal C.A.R.E. Adoption Shelter, 1328 A. West Sunshine, Springfield, MO. 65807. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, 5:00-7:00pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 4, 2015, 10:00am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will be in Bass Chapel Cemetery.
