O. Wayne Nicholson, Jr., of Springfield, MO, passed from this life to his eternal home on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Cox South Hospital at the age of 48 years old.
Wayne was born in Kansas City, MO on July 11, 1966. He was a graduate of Willard High School.
Wayne was married to Susan Terry on July 20, 1984; they were married 30 years.
Wayne currently worked at Hiland Dairy for the past 10 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Wayne was a “golfnut” and enjoyed being on the golf course with family and friends no matter how good or bad they played! He loved goofing around, playing games, and wrestling around with nieces and nephews. He was an avid, intense video gamer!
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Susan; two daughters, Susanna Nicholson and Shellie Nicholson (fiancé, Ricky Price); two sisters, Ann (Dave) DeLine of Overland Park, KS and Nancy (Mark) Jahnke of Holts Summit, MO; nephews, David (Beth) DeLine, Mark (Michelle) Jahnke, John (Stephanie) Jahnke; great-nieces and nephews, Jaiden, Silas & Tianna DeLine, Sarah, Micah, Joshua & Elana Jahnke and many extended family, loving in-laws and close friends. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Wayne is preceded in death by a son, his parents, O. Wayne and Normalie Nicholson, and a sister, Lois N. Hauer.
The memorial service will be held at the Greenlawn North Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 11, at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 3 – 6 pm on Tuesday, March 10, at the funeral home.
