Olaf L. Havener, 91, of Springfield, MO passed away on August 3, 2013 in his home. He was born on May 8, 1922, in Tea, Missouri.
Olaf had an honorable discharge after seven years in the Navy. He worked as a machinist. He married Helen Havener (Dickens) on March 12, 1977 in St. Louis, Missouri. Olaf was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Kathryn Havener and two brothers Delbert and Lester Havener.
Olaf is survived by Helen Havener; two step-children Dennis and Keith Schmitt; two step-grandsons, Brian and wife Terri, Brock Schmitt, and one step-granddaughter Kathleen Schmitt; three step-great grandchildren, Connor, Jacob, and Taylor Schmitt; sister Viola Loeb; niece Pat Ridenhower; and nephews Gary, Randy Havener and Ronnie Havener.
Olaf will have a graveside service in Robberson Prairie Cemetery, on Wednesday, August 7 at 11 AM.
