Opal Mae Holcomb, age 95, of Springfield, MO, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Webb City Health & Rehab. She was born May 21, 1920, in Chadwick, MO, to Joseph Spencer Shelburn and Lola Mae (Eddings) Shelburn. She was a retired employee of the Zenith Corporation as a quality control worker. She loved spending time with her friends, playing bingo and socializing. Opal was saved and baptized at an early age and she continued her relationship with God throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband; Olen Max Holcomb and a son Mickey. Opal is survived by her son; Max Holcomb, Springfield, MO, her daughter; Jean Holt, Webb City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Mr. Steve Bates officiating. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. before services on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
