Otha E. “Pete” Blair, Jr.
Otha E. “Pete” Blair, Jr. age 81, of the Illinois Veterans Home, Quincy, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in the Illinois Veterans Home. He was born on February 27, 1929 in Versailles, Il, the son of Otha E. & Josephine (Ritter) Blair. He married Lois Boyles on November 25, 1948 in Mt. Sterling, IL. She survives. Mr. Blair served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Blair was an entrepreneur, owning several business throughout the years. He owned and operated the Spudnut Donut Shop and numerous Gas Stations in Quincy. Otha also owned the Dollar General store in Mt. Sterling. In Clayton, IL he owned the Mark Twain Studios. He also owned and operated Little Pete’s Pottery and Ozark Trading Post throughout the seventies and eighties on West Highway 76 in Branson, MO.
In addition to his wife, he is also survive by:
TWO CHILDREN: Janet Little and her husband Kenneth of Hollister, MO and Patty Werner and her husband Mark of Albuquerque, NM
SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN: Julie Nash and her husband Steve, Otha John Blickhan, Kristina Strahan and her husband David, Karen Misemer and her husband Cody, Kaley Carlton and her husband Jon, Marcus Werner, and Tamara Gaudet and her husband Keith.
ELEVEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Shannon, Melissa, Morgan, Lance, Tyler, Kyle, Christopher, Alexis, Kaiden, Kaleb, & Kenneth.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.
He was preceded in death by one son Otha Blair III, 2 brothers: Delbert Blair and Edward Blair.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:00 Am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson, MO. Interment I with full military rites will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson, MO. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, MO.
