Patricia A. Phillips, 75 – born in Springfield,Mo passed away July 7th, 2022 surrounded by her family who never left her side.
Patricia was the oldest daughter of three she was preceded in death by her mother Vonna Lee Stanfield McCoy and her father Forrest A. Stanfield. Two sisters Nancy Stewart and Rebecca Walker.
She was a proud graduate of Hillcrest high School class of 1964 she was an avid and competed in roller dance skating at Doling Park most of her young life growing up during that time she won many awards. Her sister Nancy shared this love of roller dance skating and they traveled all over the four state area with their grandparents competing in competitions together. Her and her sisters were very close and she missed them very much. She was also very talented painter artist some of her works for unbelievably beautiful. She loved to sew she made a lot of our clothes when we were growing up she loved to crochet she was constantly crocheting something for one of her children or a family member she loved to read her Bible and most of all she loved her family more than anything in this world. She worked as a single parent most of her life and she raised her three children the very best that she could sometimes even working two jobs. Patricia was an employee and retired from GE she started there in 1972 And retired in 2013. She loved her GE family. Patricia was never one to say,” I can’t”! Patricia would open her home to just about anyone especially if they were in your heart she was a very giving, loving, straight forward, brash, straight to the point, blatantly honest, and sometimes made it very difficult to get along with her. But that’s who she was. She fought hard and she loved hard and she made no excuses for either. She was the rock of the family.
Her children and her family never wanted for anything if she had anything to say in the matter. She will be missed but she was so loved and we thank God that she’s flying high with the Lord and there’s no more pain. Patricia is survived by her three children, Charlene & Eric Evans, Mark Carter, Greg & Lieren Phillips, two stepsons Bradley Phillips and Brent Lavoie, Grandchildren, Heather Watts, Lynz Gardner & Ryan Niffen, Nicholas Gardner, Samantha Carter, Aria & Quinn Phillips. She also had several step grandchildren Zachary Hill, John & Mara Hill, and Robert & Colleen Hill. She had so many Great Grandchildren, MaKayla, Kelsey, Carter, Kennadi, Journey, Kynzley, Taylor and Kayci & several step grandchildren, Evie, Russell, Adie, Gwen, Preston, Kiera & Sophie. She loved her nieces Angela O’Neal, Kristen Kliewer, And Stephanie Robbins, and many great nieces and nephew, & cousins.
Visitation will be Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn South, graveside services will be Wednesday in Maple Park Cemetery at 4:00 p.m.
