Patricia “Pat” Hoover, 72, of Springfield, MO, passed away June 16, 2026, in Mercy Hospital. Patricia “Pat” Hoover, 72, of Springfield, MO, passed away June 16, 2026, in Mercy Hospital. Pat was born February 13, 1954, to James Marshall Sparkman and Janice Carol Swearengin in Springfield, Missouri.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Larry Hoover; children, Andrew Hoover (Jennifer), Jason Hoover (Misty), Jeremiah Hoover, and Marissa Kirby (Joe); grandchildren, Abbie Hoover, Aiden Hoover, Ariana Hoover, Lacey Stokes (Ryan), Logan Hoover, Taylor Kirby (Miranda), and Tiffany Kirby; great grandchildren, Harley Stokes, Hayes Stokes, Norah Kirby (coming soon); siblings, Lana Rush (Del) and family, Jana Fees (Lou) and family.
Pat was an avid book reader, devout Christian, and caring mother, grandmother, and wife. She was filled with love and compassion, loved a good joke/comedian, and enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends. She was always knowledgeable with world news and quick to notify everyone about incoming severe weather.
She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole St, in Springfield.
