Patricia (Grier) Reed passed away November 6, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Patty was born January 29, 1934, to Cecil and Edith Grier of Rogersville, Missouri. Patricia (Grier) Reed passed away November 6, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Patty was born January 29, 1934, to Cecil and Edith Grier of Rogersville, Missouri. After graduation she was employed at Union National Bank until her marriage to Harold Reed on September 30, 1955. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she was employed with U.S. Bank until retiring in 1989, and they moved back to Springfield in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe, John, Cecil Ray, James, and Leroy; sisters, Myrtle Dickey, and Edith M. Grier. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Harold; two sisters, Mary Runtzel and Jeannie Rimmer; and a number of nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation at Greenlawn Funeral Home East on Thursday, November 9, 11:00 AM, with the service at 12:00 PM, and the graveside following at Hazelwood Cemetery.
